- In the name of God amen I Thomas Presley of the State ofNorth Carolina and County of Anson being weak in body but of perfect mind andmemory blessed be god forever the same callin to mind that it is appointed of god for all men onceto dye do make and ordain this my lastwill & testament in manner following viz First of all I recommend my soulto god who gave it and my body to bedecently buried in a Christianlike manner by my excutors and as for my worldly Estatewherewith it hath pleased god to blessme with I give and bequeath in Mannerfollowing Item I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Presley 125 acres of Land including my plantation andall the improvement where I now livewith all and every of its appertaancesfor her own proper use during her life or widowhood. Item I give and bequeath to mybeloved wife Sarah Presley all my stockof horses cattle & hogs that I nowam present with to use & dispose of in any manner She may think proper for her own supportduring her life or widowhood likewise Igive and bequeath to my beloved wifeSarah Presley two feather beds & firniture and all and every of my plantation tools of Every kindwith all my household furniture of everykind to will and dispose of as she maythink best during her life or widowhood andat the death or marage of my beloved wife Sarah Presley I give and bequeath the said tract ofland of 125 acres to my four youngest DaughtersRebecah Pool Jean Presley Mary ThomasNancy Pool to be equally divided betweenthem also at the death or marage of saidwife I give and bequeath to my six oldest children Susana Helms Sarah Helms Richard PresleyElisabeth Helms Anna Helms ThomasPresley one half of the property that may remain till that time of every kind one bed and furniture plantation tools andhousehold Furniture to be equallybetween them all and one bed and furniturenow called my wifes bed I give to her to dispose of as she may think proper and the other half of my household furnitureand tools of all kinds I give to her todispose of to her heirs as she may seecause Item I apoint my true & trusty friend William Crittendon & my sonRichard Presley Executors and my belovedwife Sarah Presley Executorix to this myLast will & testament Difanuling all others do make publish and ordain this my last andonly will and testament in witnesswhereof I the Thomas Presley have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this6 day of March in the year of our lord onethousand Eighty hundred and Eight SignedSealed and Delivered in the preasence of us Ententined before assign HisRobertson Pistole Thomas Presley Elizabeth Pistole Mark
