- On 10 Aug. 1801, William and his wife Rachel conveyed property to Thomas Tanner. William previously sold 75 acres to his son by deed dated 20 Feb 1797. Rachel was not named in the deed and there is no record that she relinquished her dower. Therefore, it appears that William married Rachel after 20 Feb. 1797 and before 10 Aug. 1801.
