Benjamin and James Bennett first appear in the Pittsylvania County tax list in 1773 with their tithes charged to William Bennett. Benjamin and James are first listed on their own in 1776. Assuming that they had reached the age of majority in 1776, then we can estimate their birth year as 1755. Hannah probably married William Bennett before 1755.
