The name of John Cannon’s wife is not known with certainty. A John Cannon married Hannah Carroll on 1 Nov. 1812. If this John is the sone of William and Ursley, he would have been 32 years old. There are two other marriage bonds in Casell Co. for men named John Kennon. A John Kennon maried Mahala Phillips on 2 Feb. 1826. Also, a John Kennon married Frances Pyron on 28 Aug. 1840. This may have been second and third marriages, though it is possible that there is more than one John Cannon/Kennon. However, there is only one person named John Cannon or John Kennon in the census records from 1810 to 1850.
