William Scott
Being of sound mind and memory knowing how transitory and fleeting is the life of man. I lend to my wife Rebekah Scott all my estate during her lifetime or widowhood and that my children be brought up and schooled out of the same estate but if she marrys again I will only lend her one horse and saddle, one feather bed and furniture and one negro girl named Agg and at her death these articles to fall back unto my former estate with increase of the negro girl. And my executor shall bring up and school all my children out of said estate. To my sons Loften Scott and John Gryms Scott and the child yet unborn if a son the whole tract or parcel of land wheron I now live with all plantation tools to be equally divided between them and their heirs. And also one horse and saddle, cow and calf and feather bed to each of them. All my other estate of horses, cattle, sheep and hogs not yet given and slaves to be sold and equally divided amongst my daughters, Sarah Scott, Rebeckah Scott, Catey Scott, Amey Scott and Elizabeth Scott and the child yet unborn if a daughter for them and their heirs as also my household goods before not mentioned to be sold and equally divided amongst my daughters before mentioned.
