In 1661, Vincent Cox was granted 346 acres in Northumberland Co. adjoining Robt Bennett, son of John Bennett, dec'd. (Patents 4, page 432)
On 25 July 1667, Robert Bennett was appointed constable for Yoacomaco. (WC OB 1675/6 - 1688/9, Abstracted and compiled by John Frederick Dorman).

Page 122-122a 23 April 1672. William Walker Senior of Westmoreland County, planter, unto Stephen Bailye of same, planter. For a valuable consideration. 133 acres in or about Yeocomicoe Neck, bounding south east upon the River of Yeocomicoe, southerly upon the land of Robert.Bennett, northerly upon the land of Richard Tedwell and northwest upon another tract of land of Walker's which 133 acres bounds alsoe upon the land which Stephen doth now 'Live upon and doth devide the land of Stephen from one tract which Walker was this yeare about to seate, which said land is part of a greater tract given by William Walker, deceased, unto William Walker, now the Elder, he now having a younger brother called alsoe by the said name William Walker Junior, but the sonn of another wife, which said Walker, deceased, had who now is wife unto the said Stephen.
Likewise William Senior doth relinquish all right to a tract of land which his father did give unto his brother William4Walker Junior, being 239 acres, unto William Walker.

Page. 317a. 25 June .1677. Deposition of Tho: Boyes that Tho. Durham came to Rich: Tidwell's about the middle of April 1677 to make an agreement about ,a cow as was killed and profred Rich. Tidwell towards satisfaction for the cow 100'pounds of tobacco and aftei~`some more discourse he said that he would give 200 pounds of tobacco. They not agreeing one that, .Tho. Durham profered to refer it to men, whereupon Tidwell said with all his heard and :one that Tho:.Durham made choyce of Vincen Cox and Tidwell made choyce of Robert Bennett to desid the controversy.
