Will of William Whtilow III
In the name of God Amen. I William Whitlow of Henrico County being at this time in perfect sense and good memory do make and confirm and constitute with my last will and Testament and desire it my be so received as such....
I give to my son John Whitlow fifty acres of land whence he is now making a plantation. The line to run from a corner white oak on ? Jerdone's side right acres to Richard Whitlow's line, be the same more or less. Also one Iron Skellat one pewter dish and two plates.
I give to my daughter Sarah Whitlow one feather bed and furniture. My negro boy Sam to my son Nathan Whitlow five year after my decease and at the five years end he is to pay my daughter Anna Whitlow twenty five pounds and if she dies without heir the money I give to my daughter Sarah Whitlow and the five years and before mentioned. I give the said Boy Sam to my daughter Sarah Whitlow and if she dies without heir I give him to my daughter Anna Whitlow. I give to my daughter Anna Whitlow one feather bed and furniture. I give two bowls and four plates to be devised between my two daughters after my decease. I give to my daughter Sarah Whitlow one cow and I give to my daughter Annie Whitlow one horse. I give to my son William Whitlow one young cow and one young sow. I give to my son Nathan Whitlow fifty acres of land it being this plantation where I now live. Likewise I give him my still and one whip saw and one crop cut upon paying all my debts. I give to my son Darby Whitlow fifty shillings cash. Likewise I give to my son John Whitlow one iron pot. Likewise I give to my daughter Annie Whitlow one pine table one pine chest one wooden wheel and one bow iron. Likewise I give to my daughter Sarah Whitlow one table and one chair and one side saddle. I give to my daughter Annie Whitlow my horse. I give to my daughter Sarah Whitlow one ? wheel. I give to my son William Whitlow my saddle. I give to my son Nathan Whitlow one old iron pot and one spider I do appoint my son Nathan Whitlow to be executor of this my last will and testament and I do -- that my estate may not be appraised. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven.
