Death date for Abraham based on Edgecombe County Court Minutes. Feb 24, 1773. Elizabeth Dew granted administratrix of the estate of Abraham Dew dec?d. Also in Nash County loose estate records, Thomas Viverette states that Elizabeth lived on the plantation about one year more of less before they were married in April 1774.

In Nash Co. Loose Estate papers is an account of the sale of Estate of Abraham Dew 6 June 1774. Items included in the sale were 1 fiddle, 1 bible and primer, cooper?s tools, auger & other tools, Joyner tools, 1 negro boy and 1 negro fellow. Elizabeth Dew Edg. Ct. 1774
There appears to be two Abraham Dews in Edgecombe County. I believe this patent belongs to the Abraham married to Elizabeth Hickman and is a brother to Arthur Dew.
11 Feb 1761 - Abraham Dew ..Patent..250 acres in Edgecombe Co in the Parish of St. Mary on the south side of Tosneot joining Nehemiah Joyner, the mouth of a branch in the Mill pond, and the courses of the sd. swamp OR /s/ (Mark). Wit: J. Moore surveyed 16 April 1753 - SCC Nathanial Highmon (Hickman) - Abraham Dew James Conner Surveyor. Plat reads ?...(land)...laid out unto John Dew.
Edgecombe County DB 00-352, dated 22 Sept 1761: Abraham Dew of Edgecombe Co,, planter, to Arthur Dew of same, for 10 pounds Proc. money a tract of 125 acres on the south bank of Toisnot Swamp beginning at the mouth of a small branch that runs into Dew?s Mill Pond and adjoining the land of Nehemiah Joiner. Wit: Duncan Lamon.
EC DB 1-301, dated 21 June 1762: Abraham Dew (mark) of Edgecombe Co., planter to Wm. Hickman of same for 10 pounds a tract of land, acres not stated, on the bank of Toisnot Swamp, it being part of a grant to said Dew bearing date 11 Feb 1761. Also signed by John Dew. Wit: Nathaniel Hickman. ( This is probably the 200 acres sold by Wm. on 19 Aug 1769).
EC DB D-141, dated 19 August 1769: William Hickman of Edgecombe Co., planter, to Stephen Cobb of Dobbs Co., NC, for 25 pounds Proc. money a tract of 200 acres on the bank of Toisnot Swamp, it being part of a tract granted to Abraham Dew by deed bearing date 11 Feb 1761. Wit: Joseph Williamson, John Barefoot, Robt. Gully. (Stephen Cobb sold 125 acres of this land to John White on 15 May 1770 as noted in DB D-235).

In Deed Book 1, page 257, dated 2 Feb 1738, Abram Dew witnesseth a deed between Wm Fort and the Parish & Vestry. and on 24 Aug 1739 a deed between Benjamin Foreman, Sr. to Wm Fort.

Abraham Dew: Article by Hugh Johnston: Abraham Dew, one of the sons of John Dew, died in Edgecombe County in 1774, and his inventory was presented in April Court by Elizabeth (x) Dew, administratrix. On 6 June 1774, Sheriff Noah Sugg sold the personal property of said Dew as received from Thomas Vivirett and wife, the administrators for a total of 289.9.10 pounds. (This record indicates that Thomas Viverett had married Abraham Dew?s widow) In Feb Court 1780, these were some of the items of the account of the estate rendered by Administrator Viverett: 1.6.8 pounds to Jesse Pitman for schooling.; 4.14.8 pounds to Arthur Dew on note; 1.1.0 pounds to Stephen Cobb on note.
