      In the name of God Amen! I DEMPSEY HARRISON being weak in body yet of disposing mind & memory blessed be God for the same do make & ordain this my Last Will and Testament this Twenty Ninth day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Twenty Three in the following manner & form viz.
      I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife NANCY HARRISON all my right & title in negro man Denson(?) also all my property of every description & kind whatever unto her & her heirs forever.
      Lastly I nominate & appoint my loving Wife NANCY HARRISON Executrix to this my Last Will and Testament in witness where of I have hereunto set my hand & seal the day and year first above written.

      JENNINGS, Thomas. Calvin JONES purchased from his heirs a warrant to which Thos JENNINGS, a corporal now living, was entitled. Wilson SANDERLIN applied to the Commissioners on the claim of the corporal. The warrant was for 3 yrs. service, butMemorialistcanproveJENNINGSservedfor3yrs.,9mos. On18Mar.1818, Thos JENNINGS, late a corporal in the Army of the Revolution, was put on the pension list at $8 per month beginning 25 Sept. 1818, first payment to be made on 4 Sept. in Fayetteville at the United States Branch Bank. On 3 Aug. 1820 John C . ERINGHAUS, J . P . , of Pasquotank C o . , certified that the original certificate was lodged by Thos. JENNINGS in his possession for safe keeping. Demsey (X) HARRISON, James ( X ) OVERTON, John KOEN of Pasquotank made affidavits that they were acquainted with this Thos. JENNINGS who is now residing in Pasquotank Co. Willis BRITE of Pasquotank made a similar affidavit 11 Oct. 1820.[LP 329]
