Above is a complete typescript as printed in 'Old Southern Bible Records.' My question is about dates. If Evadotia died 4 Nov 1843 (according to dates on tombstone), and if Alfred m. Mariah Shockly (Darby?) on30 Aug 1849 (according to currently accepted dates), then who was themother of Benjamin Jabez Gilreath, b. 11 Oct 1848 (according to the Bible dates)? Does anyone have a copy of the marriage bond or license for Alfred and Mariah?
