On page labeled Marriages Nancy Bennett was born December the 12 1810 Mary Jiles was born June 1815 Transcriber's Notes: The date Oct. 3, 1860 on the page labeled 'Births' appears to be the date that the information was recorded in the Bible. The bible is dated 1858, which is after the last recorded birth. The handwriting was the same throughout indicating that all information was recorded at one time. It is likely that Jesse and Nancy purchased the Bible about October 3, 1860 and recorded family births at that time. This bible record was transcribed by David E. Bennett on June 9, 2000. The bible was in the possession of Sam G. Bennett, grandson of Jesse L. Bennett. Sam Bennett related that he found the Bible in a trunk in his home, which was purchased by Jesse Lewis Bennett in 1847.
