On 15 Jun 1773 Charles Lewis received a patent for 387 acres of land on Mine Branch of Sandy Creek in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The Charles Lewis of Loundon County has as neighbors the same members of the Hardy family as does the Charles Lewis of Pittsylvania County. It appears that Charles Lewis migrated from Loundon County to Pittsylvania County with the Hardys.

From this evidence I conclude that Mary Ann Lewis is the widow of Charles Lewis and that he died between 1788 and 1789.

From this evidence I conclude that Mary Ann Lewis is the widow of Charles Lewis and that he died between 1788 and 1789.
