[4] Notes - Azariah Scott and John Scott, Sen. both appear on a list of purchasers for the estate of John Graves. The 1850 census indicates that Azariah Scott was born about 1802 in Caswell County. John Scott Sen. is the only Scott in the 1810 census of Caswell Co. with males children under 10. It is likely that John Scott is the father of Azariah Scott. Azariah Graves & Azariah Graves, Jr. are also on the list of purchasers. It is possible that the Graves are relatives of Azariah Scott. [1]
