• Notes

  Thomas Bennett received a patent for 250 a. in Stafford County on 26 May 1712 at the suggestion of his brother William Bennett. The paten tindicates that Thomas was a minor and the heir of Alice Scoffield, who received the land through several conveyances from Samuel Matthews.
